Reunification
Eleven years after what was characterized as the greatest gathering of Black men in the history of this country, where are those one million strong Black men? Yes, they are 11 years older and wiser. They are somewhere doing something, but where are they and what are they doing? We want to know. We want to reunite them once again. We want to reconvene those million strong, not literally but virtually, in the only “intentional” Black Community in cyberspace: KemetWorld.com
Many have asked, “What is the collective legacy of more than one million strong Black men having gone to Washington on that glorious day in October 1995?” Some ask, “What are they doing now?” We ask, “Why not reconvene those strong Black men, and redirect them to a place where they can follow through on the promises made that day? Why not channel our tremendous resources, both financial and intellectual, to a place and that will allow Black people to realize our own potential.
More than one million strong Black men “can accomplish what we will,” as Marcus Garvey boldly stated. Let’s reunite, let’s reconvene, let’s recommit, and let’s redirect our resources to one another for the empowerment of us all.
